Best 727 builder near SE Pennsylvania - 12/27/09 05:58 PM
I have a Pro Trans 727 in my cuda that needs gone through. Is there anyone near Reading Pa that would be qualified to rebuild and trouble shoot the transmission?
Thanks,

Do it yourself or call Barton and see how they use or if they do them

I'm sure Dave could help me but I don't want to bother him.
I bought the trans through Barton but Ray told me to send it to Pro Trans for a rebuild. His shop didn't have the time to work on it.

IF it is the "special" ($7000) Pro Trans 727 w/ 904 internals, I would take it to Sean @ Dynamic Converters as he has experience freshening those specific tranmissions...
If it is just a "typically" modified 727 ($2000), anybody that does transmissions can help you out, they are fairly simple. We do our own 727's w/ no issues and have gone 8.60's on motor.

Dynamic Convertor? Is that Frank Lupo?
I think Lupo is only about an hour or so from my place.
Thanks,

Yes Sir! Call Sean @ 302-454-9203. And Yes, about an hour or so from Reading/Maple Grove area.
I know for sure that Sean @ Dynamic has freshened some local guys who run the Pro Trans in Super Stockers, NMCA Pro Stock cars, etc......

Scott Goshert, Temple, PA. Infact, the Barton crew might recommend him. The Vignona (spelling?) crew certainly should.
