I'm running their 6064AS in my 408 with the EDM lifters they sell. With no tuning it has ran 6.61 (1/8) in a 3300# 69 Dart on pump 93. This is the second cam I've had from them and both have ran strong. The first was a hydraulic in my 340, it ran 7.23 in the same car.

I ran an older HEV6876AS in my 340 with iron heads.
I picked the wrong grind. Went 10.74 @ 124.73 MPH

I ran the 256/262 in my 440. Great cam, just make sure you use their springs or what they recommend.

Re: Hughes SOLID cam users - 12/27/09 11:19 PM

internet recommendations for camshafts usually results in disappointment. Cam selection should be based on head flow, compression, trans/converter, gearing, car weight, intended usage, etc. Call a cam grinder and give them all your car specs for a more accurate recommendation.

Is your engine assembled and you want to make a cam change or is it apart ? If it's assembled then an HTL is not a good idea unless your lifter geometry is absolutely spot on and/or your lifter bores are bushed .
