tallest front tire on an a-body (pics please )

i have a dart with 73-up disc brake .would like to know if a 15x3.5 wheel 1.75 b.s. & a 27/4.5/15 tire will fit without any cutting .

on a dart the wheel well is bigger

I have 28" tall Hoosier race tires on my Dart Sport. They may be just a tint bit shorter than the advertised height. But I did have to bend the inner lip at the front of the wheel openings for clearance. On rare occasions when the wheel was turned a certain amount and I hit a bump, it would rub.

what are you guys running for backspacing ?are you running stock brakes? dont some after market brake push the wheel farther out?

I run Moroso 7.10's which are supposed to be 28" tall and use a 2.25" bs.

I run 27.5" M/T fronts. And I run the 2.25" rear space front wheel, and no issues at all. My Brother's 72 is set-up with the same offset as well. And our cars are pretty low, and never had any issues rubbing. Hope this helps

Oh and by the way, we run Aerospace front race brakes on both.

I believe I have the "standard" offset - 1 3/4" or 1 7/8", with OEM front disc brakes.

I chose the tire diameter based on reaction times on the starting line.
