None taken. I like that car too, this will be faster though Just moving in a different direction. Both myself and my dad were lucky enough to find buyers in this depression for my black car and his origional superstocker. This car was rolling was taken a partial trade, going to run it as a father / son combined effort, and split some of the pain or working and paying for this stuff.

I thought that was your dad's 64 hemi car that Tank has now.

That car is awesome! Going to run the CC events at all?

That is one nice car, I know cause I have seen it personally....Boy it hit a mean lick too....
It was usually the fastest early B Hemi car (on motor) every were it went.
I watched this car run 8.70's in the middle of the summer..
I dont know him that well, and only met him a few times but.
Tank seems like a nice guy, and he sure can build some nice cars..

What did he say the car weighed the way he had it last?
I figure its light, real light for those cars.

I have some pics, and video's of this car, I will try to dig them up...

Oh here we go

.
.
.
Im pretty sure I have more, but these were already loaded on my Photobucket account...

These pic's were taken by yours truly...

Re: Hemidart68 where R U?? - 12/10/09 02:41 PM

Tank told me the car weighed around 2850 i think. We are going with a similiar combo aluminum block, so it should still be a liteweight.

Cool ride. I really like how they kept the original style and size hood scoop too. Good luck with it.

Are you keeping the same paintjob?

It's...well...different...

Not sure that I like it but it's not terrible either.

This car probably wont ever be NHRA legal. Fiberglass fenders and doors. Also rear end is moved too far forward for NHRA's liking.

Very nice car!

What is the wheelbase?

Chassis looks very nice and except for the long wheelie bar, looks close to legal.

We could use another hemi car in the mix out there!

They measure wheelbase!!

Just don't park too close to any stockers

They usually only check things if you win money, so id probably be fine

Honestly we don't want to work hard enough to go legal racing, going with a big cube motor and gonna have some fun.

Nicest looking body style in the line up but, then I'm kinda partial I guess ..The blue wheels are cool , is that andonizing ?

Not at all. My wheels were anodized on my black car and i loved it. easy to clean. Only weakness with anodize is it eventually sun fades, but on a race car, that spends 95 percent of the time out of the sun, its not really a issue at all.
