no,dont have a tbrake. have had 3 different carbs on it. but leaving on the 2 step. can still feel it hesitating when going on it. will throw some more squirter on it today. also will try 1 to 1 linkage on the carb. still feel like theres more in it. it leaves like your pulling off from a stop sign. and still had a 1.44 60

What do you mean, "wasted a .007 light"?
Since you hit the brakes, I assume you won that round?

Well congrats on the new best. To bad it cost you a round of racing but that happens from time to time.

Re: new best - 11/28/09 04:54 PM

Tony,
Have you tried bumping the timing up a couple degrees?Maybe it's not the carb.I had a similar problem ealy this year before I figured out my timing marks were off.I had done some cam swaps and played with different degrees of advance on the cam in my big block.Could not get the car to leave like I thought it should, ended up somewhere along the line my timing marks were off several degrees.
Just a thought.

that's really wierd that you haven't figured it out yet. you give carb advice so often to others that i thought you'd nail it down right away on your own car. is that still the dominator or the new Quickfuel 4150?
if it's the quickfuel, try a 32 squirter and blue pump cam in it at #2 position.

My car will go to 3500 on the footbrake w/o a 2 step and the converter only flashes to 4600. Give it a try, higher RPM will improve signal.

not to bad, I am satisfied with that. you missed my best run. 3rd round I ran a car dialed 6.00 to my 6.64.

he had a .036 light and ran dead on
I had a .026 light and run .01 over for the win
mov was .009

yea that sucks when you are on the other end. not a lot you can do. then I turn around give away a round I should have won. just a little rusty still, to be consistent takes time. I show signs of old then screw up. nothing but seat time will solve that. been many years since I footbrake raced.

Try it just foot braking see if it does it .
You have 50cc pumps ? Put more timing in try that .With 3 different carbs need to look somewhere else
If i remember aren't you running 360- 1or 2s alot of flow .keep us posted
