any one running schubeck solid lifters?worth the extra$.i really don't want to go roller,but can't afford another cam failure.thanks,sam.

Those lifters will not guarantee you no failures. I've seen where other problems will put metal in the oil and the schubecks actually "push" the trash into the lobes wearing them fast!
But if you already have the correct springs (you'll need to set them up with 200lbs. on the seat for schubecks)pushrods and FT cam then they are the better choice. If not...the roller will outperform them and the FT cam every time!!
By as much as 50HP and as little as 25HP.

Those ceramic lifters aren't all they're cracked up to be. They can't handle any valve float at all. They're hard enough that if they come off the lobe they can shatter on impact and then you'll have some other issues... I also know of one instance where the ceramic puck was wiped off the lifter due to extreme spring pressures.
