are you talking production blocks or aftermarket. i think a member here took a 69 340 to 444ci. with a 4.25 " crank.

Ron Silva's 501 is the biggest i've ever heard of...

Remember, it's not all about the size, it's how you use it !

That was me. It was a stock appearing car and used an OE 340 block.

I have a 461smallblock on pump gas that took my 68 barracuda into the low 9.50z on a 10" tire with full interior and exhaust.

I'm building a 4.060 x 4.125 (427 inches) motor at the moment. Callies has a 4.250 stroke crank on the shelf and Hughes Engines carries a 4.180 stroke crank. Lots of options these days that didn't exist a few years back.

With an R3 block bored to 4.220" with a 4.250" stroke, you can get 476ci.

Chris, sooner or later, it will be auctioned off. A shame that piece got built, and never paid for or used.

Did this crate motor ever make it to production?
