how much race fuel did you go through this year? - 10/22/09 12:03 AM

just wondering how much race fuel you guys went through this year racing?
i went through 4 drums of Sunoco.( 3 drums of 110 and 1 drum of 112)
i have 15 gallons left in my fuel jugs and i.m out.

15 gal. before switching to E-85 but I would mix it 50/50 with 93 pump gas.

I bought 10 gallons, prolly burnt up about 2 or 3 getting the car all tuned in. Waiting on a bracket from brewers, hopefully i can burn the rest up

I have used about 35 gallons of 110 since April.

None for me, I used the golf cart to move the car.

I had to move it out of the trailer and into the shop
so I could use the trailer for drag week.... but of
course I had to let it warm up... then had to spin
the tires some in the driveway... LOL then when we
got back home it went back into the trailer... but
its E-85

We wanted to race more than we did.

We bought two drums at the first of the season and one is empty and the other one is almost empty. And we just run 1/8 mile, I couldn't afford to run 1/4 mile, heck as much as we use in the 1/8th. our small tank may not make it through the quarter.

1/2 way through my 4th drum. Some one ask have you won much money this year?, I told them that I have won ALMOST enough to pay fuel bill, for race car, not truck, scooter, entry fees, 3 sets of sticky mickeys, cheeseburgers, pictures ect, ect. Oh, I forgot motels and buy backs! Are we having fun yet????

all my cars are street cars. 3 500" motors with 13.2 cr. and 1 580" motor with 14.16 cr.i drive them all,alot.i lost count at 8-9 drums......

About 80 gallons worth, still not done yet though and cannot decide if I need a drum or just some pails.

I haven't fiured it out yet, but I'm still working on it!!!
Crew chief (wife) said if were going to spend this much, we better at least have fun!!

I went through close to 200 gallons. But one of my cars is street driven. They sell 110 at the pump here for 6.89 a gallon. I just got 15 more gallons yesterday and used more than 5 today

i'm glad to see that i'm not the only one stimulating the economy, i'll tell you a drum goes pretty fast.
i'm having fun but 220 gallons, last year was only 2 drums. looks like i'll just make it till the end of vthe year especially with all this great weather we are having. rain, rain and did i say rain!

I sell 110 leaded at the pump at my business. we only sold about 4000 gals this year. We usally selltwice that, two things may have caused that. We moved our pump from out by the street back inside our lot. People may have thought we don't sell it anymore and the economy. Our methanol sales were way down also.

Next year we are gonna have 2 new 2000 gal tanks with leaded and unleaded Sunoco at brand new pumps.

About 2/3rds of a drum of C12. Thats one of the reasons the car went bye bye, not using it.

I went through:
55 gallons of race alky (methanol)
and about 100 gallons of E85. That is cheaper than pump 87 and way cheaper than pump premium

I pay 75 bucks for 5 gallons or 15 bucks per gallon.

whats your take on Q16 in a 11.2 hemi motor?
i know it really helps the high compression motors with the oxygen content in the Q16, but wonder if you'd see any gains with 11.2 compression? thanks

4 barrels of methanol $1.85 gal B/F tax .
Filled a complete JEGS log book and had to make pages .Might put it away now ,started bow hunting season now .

You will see a 5% HP gain and your plugs will be cleaner. You have to drain your fuel system if the car is going to sit for a couple of weeks. You will need to up your jet size about 5 numbers.

my hemi is 11.7 :1 it hates race gas!! goes faster on 93 octane

We use around a drum a season when we run for points, May not sound like much but we only go 200ft, now the bad part is we use around the same in the pressure washer just not race fuel

i used around 100 to 150 gallons of E85 myself
