Little Rampage Drag Terror - 10/19/09 01:18 PM

Here's a friend of mine racing his 82 2.4 turbo Rampage. Try and guess what it'll run before you watch the video.

That little dude is really accelerating in high gear Is it a stick or automatic trans? I'm sure it is a automatic but I thought I would ask to make sure Any idea on how much boost it makes? I'm sure I heard the BOV or the waste gate open on the staring line on the first run

Re: Little Rampage Drag Terror - 10/19/09 05:15 PM

He was saying that when it went into 2nd gear it was really spinning bad and had trouble keeping it straight.I'm not sure the amount of boost he's running but knowing Dean it's getting up there! That was with 1.62 60' times as well,if that thing could hook it would be hitting the 9's

Hi
My rampage is a 2.4 turbo auto. Always had to watch what I spent on it. The turbo is a holset from a 5.9 dodge pickup, Trans is a 3 spd auto from a neon. Has a trans brake and stock converter with 904 spline hub from Pat's converters, Running 3.22 gears and a trans brake, 30 psi boost, Weighs 2245 with me in it.

Wow impressive! Put a quiet exhaust on it and it would freak out everything it raced if it doesn't already.

Re: Little Rampage Drag Terror - 12/26/09 02:39 PM

Tonight Chris and Scott pulled out the windshield for me. Last night I pulled the dash and wiring out of it and the hood and nose off of it. Threw out the wiper assembly and vacumed all the leaves and crap out of it. Picked up some 25 inch tall front runners. So once the wheels are back on it I'll get it on the hoist and work on the frame rails from underneath.

Re: Little Rampage Drag Terror - 01/30/10 03:48 AM

What do your subframe connectors weld to at the front?
Posted By: Rampage16v

Re: Little Rampage Drag Terror - 01/30/10 04:21 AM

They fit into the factory sub frame rails from the top and are welded in all the way to the up kick

And,,if my memory serves me correctly,,,,you said you were looking for 10.00 times,,, I don't understand it either,,,HOW DO THEY DO THAT,,,??? Just funnin'.. I used to get so PO'd at the track,,,pull in with a 'full-tilt' race car,,on a trailer, slicks, ETC/ETC....a little 'tuner/NOS' with a bunch of kids pits beside you and runs .5 better while driving it in and driving it home!!!

Well from that time to now things have changed... since
I cant get a NHRA license I dumped the twin turbo
plan and just went with a 418ci N/A and am setting
it up to run 10.0 or a touch slower so I wont need
the license

Re: Little Rampage Drag Terror - 02/26/11 05:11 PM

What's up with the license? Milan IHRA? Cayuga just returned to NHRA this year.

Re: Little Rampage Drag Terror - 02/26/11 05:12 PM

Just so you know there is no NOS on this car
