Yes thats right Ken Clinton(Strokerpost) won Pro at Monster Mopar Weekend on Sunday and won $4000.00 No split. As most know Ken sold his Dart so he was racing his Dad Russ Clintons big block powered Volare. Ken did race the car once this year but really hasnt raced for over a year. No problem. He raced his way through a tough field foot breakin all the way!! I dont know all the details I'll let Ken do that. But he did earn a late round bye and was on the tree consistently.
Dailed in 11.38 and 11.39 all day and night.
Kens one of my best friends and I think I was happier than he was! Also it was a real kick to see father and son working together and winning. A memory they will always share.
For my money Ken is the best bottom bulb footbreaker I know!!! This was Kens 5th win at Monster Mopar 4 in Pro, 1 in Street!!

Great job, Ken! it was good to see you again. along with Daredude, 10.0 Don and others, was sick Sunday seeing how nice the weather was, and my car 450 miles away!, the weather channel scared me for the weekend. We Will make this race next year!with the car!Big Dog

Sorry Mike, I may have a little more pocket change, but I didnt get in the sack till after midnight and had to be up at 4:30 to go to work for 11 hours, so I just a WEE bit tired. Wow Chris, you're too kind as usual, but thanks a bunch for it, and for always sticking around for support. Having you guys there always makes it a more memorable thing.
well guys, I cant give a bunch of details cuz all the time slips are in my dad's car...65 miles away, but I can tell you this, I had one time run to get used to a very diff car than I'm used to and throughout the evening I didnt always have a stellar light, but they got better and better with each round, the best being an .019 and the worst being a....well, lets not go there. But I had what I needed when I needed it all night long, and the car was there for me and thats half the battle as you guys well know. I also had a couple guys show me some red which is also always a plus when you're trying to build trust in a car thats new to you. It showed me that it was gonna run the number all night. Funny thing is, I didnt want to drive the car, I really didnt, I sold my car cuz I was ready to be done racing, but dad said he felt there was a better chance of doing some good if I was in it, so thats how that came about. He also said he would like to watch his car race from the spectator's perspective, so I'm glad for him that it turned out well. I wasnt there to see his reaction when the win light came on, but I suspect he was excited some. I had a tough time on the way down the return road cuz my mom would always have me call her after a win or a good night to tell her, well, as some of you know I lost mom last year and my first thought after the win light was I wanted to call her and tell her we got it done in dad's car. Thats why I was somewhat subdued at the pic session, but that doesnt mean I wasnt very happy. Anyway, thanks a BUNCH for all the kind words from you guys, especially you Chris. You know who I was pulling for. You're day is coming buddy.
I thoroughly enjoyed NOT racing Fri & Sat so I could get around and visit with alot of you guys. I never get to do that much when I gotta stick buy the car and such. Had a REAL good time meeting and getting to know member lowell66 I think it is and his wife Julie from Louisiana (Is that 1 n or 2?) and the folks he was with, Really nice people and had a good time visting with them all weekend, He made it down to either the 1/4s or semis. Neat little car he's got. Anyway, guys, I'm beat, gotta get to bed early tonight.....I hope. Thanks again guys.
