i had ceramic coating done on my engine plate but opted for the silver since i had coated my alloy block orange. no body can tell it's not just plain alloy but it cleans up well.

Fred, I had some metal panels done by a local powder coat shop in a Candy Apple Blue. It almost looked like blue anodize but better. Like regular candy paint, it will show finger marks if it's not cleaned properly. The shop I used did lots of hotrod, motorcycle parts. I think you could get a candy orange if you wanted that. I had my panels grained (sanded in one direction) and then coated.
