Tony should be thanking J.F for a championship title.I don't care for tony just because he left J.F after winning a title maybe if he was still on team force we mightve had 2 titles.

My on John Force and his business is that he is one of the the top reasons fans come to the races and he is the most successful racer of all times. He is still a man like you and me and has a ego as well as a comimtment(SP) to his sponsors, team and family, he accomplished his goal of getting all four team cars and sponsors into the shoot out I hope Robert Hieght, his son in law, wins the world championship this year BTW, I wonder why both of his son in laws are smaller than him

Re: Force fined for Indy, Hight still in the top ten. - 09/10/09 09:29 PM

I was at Pomona sitting at the top end when Tony beat Force on a holeshot and handed the championship to Gary Scelzi. Great time that was.

Personally I'd rather see Tim Wilkerson win the championship this year. The chase kinda screwed him last year, maybe this will be his year.

Just asking, but if it comes down to one pass for either Ashley or Hight to win the championship, which one will have to take the dive?

If Tony knew about it for so long why didn't he say something while he was participating in it.
Didn't care until his bull got gored.

Force admitted there was diving going on the year that Tony won the championship. Remember his big speech about "from here on out it's all heads up"?

Re: Force fined for Indy, Hight still in the top ten. - 09/11/09 12:43 AM

On a whim I drove by Force's shop to thank them for letting me park in front at his Mopar car show couple weeks back. Of course could not see him of course but the shop guys said as a whole they are fired up and as a good measure may make Coil sick again so as not to break there luck. I thought that was funny then asked what about tee shirts. Got the wait and see.

To be honest I am long time Force fan and watched him grow his shop from one side of Yorba Linda to it's current spot. I also like the Pedregons especially for there work on Drag Race high. All this drama is like the old days of Snake and the Mongoose, Bernstein, Garlits, Kalitta and many more. It's not the old days but what is.

I have the utmost respect for Mr. Force. Really if the tables were turned the same thing would have happened had one of the Pedregons were in the same situation or one of the Schumacher cars were involved give me a break.

Re: Force fined for Indy, High still in the top ten. - 09/11/09 05:47 AM

I agree.NHRA has decided that only Nitro cars and Pro stock are viable TV and live event options.Force can do as he pleases.I have followed all the posts and yes, both sides of the argument have merit. Was Force right? NO but it isn't about that... only business.Integrity be damned in the name of business and the show. All of Drag Racing is very viable for TV (Pinks proves it)but NHRA will never pay sportsman racers real money, so forget it.One last thought,I suppose we should be happy that Force or a team car doesn't win every race.

Yep, 10 thousand to Force is chump change and in this case a bargian...

He's had 10 MILLION worth of "ink" since Indy!

I'm hoping the Force cars finish 1 through 4 and the cry baby blows up everthing he owns or can borrow from his brother. I bet Flamin' Frank Pedregon wasn't a whiner...

An idea that many seem to forget. Force has done more for NHRA drag racing than Garlits, Muldowney, Prudhomme and Schumacher combined. Without his 4 car team there would be 1st round byes in most races due to less than full qualifying fields. The Pedregons are whiners but there are also a few haters on this board regarding JFR.

Re: Force fined for Indy, High still in the top ten. - 09/11/09 01:57 PM

Tony seems to cry Im the little guy.You cant run 2 cars with no money. They all seem to forget Force going to races to just get beat in matbe the second round because he didnt have money to have extra parts in the trailer.Ask Bernstein how many races he won because Force couldnt run because of lack of funds. The guy worked his a-- off to get what he has.Look at his pit sometimes you will see more people there than any other at an event. The man respects his fans and he demands his employees do the same. Why wasnt anyone crying when team Kallita was laying down for Doug to get points for the championship?I guess Tony wasnt worried about that because he drove a dragster.Rocky

nice car 340srule
NHRA then needs to change the rules on multi car teams .Whats the $$$$ figures it takes to get sponsors for 4 cars . Alot of work .Same as the N.Y yankees pocket book to a smaller team .
Why does a pitcher walk Albert P go CARDS
percentages of the next play .Local pt series do it .
We didn't like BUYBACKS now their excepted .
Its not cheating use the rules NASCAR racers do.

Re: Force fined for Indy, High still in the top ten. - 09/12/09 01:01 AM

Let's see. Force clearly dives, drives the car out of the groove on purpose to spin the tires creating a very dangerous situation by nearly putting the car into the wall and putting everyone nearby in danger if he lost control, and he almost did when it went sideways and snapped back, lies about it to everyone because he knows it is against the rules, gets up in Pedregon's face when confronted with the truth, screams and hollers on national tv, acts like an ass in front of Pedregon's children, and had to be physically restrained. To me it makes all his sponsors look bad and it makes my favorite sport look like it's full of rednecks, and some of you people admire him for that?

I used to be a big Force fan but not any more. I am boycotting ALL sponsors of Farce racing.

Re: Force fined for Indy, High still in the top ten. - 09/12/09 02:47 AM

I did not see it as I dont watch much of the nitro cars on tv because they are boring on tv. I love them live but prefer the sportsman racing anytime. That said I have always admired John Force for what he has done. But that dont give him the right to act like that. I will say this that if I had a 2 or 3 car race team myself and two of the cars raced with one of the cars having a chance of winning the championship you can bet that car would win that race. Ron

The whole thing got everybody talking as planned.
Just like WWE and Nascar - a little conflict feeds the press and gets everybody watching again - Force is the master of self promotion - and the rest follow his every direction - Pro-Racing might as well be 75% acting - cause the talent pool is getting very shallow! Real Racers are dying off - these were the guys that settled there issues back in the pits out of the public view and then had a couple of cold ones together after the fight!

I've always respected Force for his accomplishments. He started with nothing and built a racing empire. That said, the classy thing to do would be to walk away form the camera and settle up with Pedregon in private. He put his self on Pedregons level with his actions.

Yeah settled in the pits.Kind of like when Capps hammered Whit a few years ago.Id still like to see that.Im just suprised someone dosent have that on tape.Hey I remember Force giving his arch enemy Al Hoffman a body so he could race him in the next round. He could have said tough no body no run but didnt.Seems people forget that.Tony must have picked up the crying from brother Cruz.He cried Force was cheating even when he only had his car because Cruz couldnt beat him.Rocky

he wasnt going out of his way to touch or push anyone, the people, all the people, who were touching or restraining force got shoved off by him, i dont think he was paying attention to who it was,

$10,000 a bit much? yeah maybe, what if this is thier way of saying, we know you took a dive, and you're gonna pay somehow, what was his fine for the Beard incident?

be prepared though, next race it'll be all about Force and Pedregon, the rest of the year anytime a JFR car pulls up with a Pedregon Brother it'll be all hype... be prepared.

Here is what is going to happen. With almost 50% of the cars that will be racing for the championship.I will bet money that all force cars will lay down everytime Asley races against them. This will hand the title to her and she will be now be the 2nd women to have it. I hope also everytime one of his cars line up it blows the motor into peices.

Re: Force fined for Indy, Hight still in the top ten. - 09/13/09 01:12 PM

Force was fined because he pushed the NHRA Official out of the way to get into Tony's face. I agree with that fine completely. Watch the video again, there's no doubt about this. The Official was doing his job to keep Force and Pedregon apart.

Let me sum this up. IMO, NHRA and their BS is the reason that Force took the dive for Height. NHRA does NOTHING for the good of the sport. Drag Racing is Force's livelihood. John did what he needed to do to make sure his business (Sponsors) were taken care of.

I also believe that John Force is a man of good character and he knows his decision was based on doing what was right for his BUSINESS. I have no doubt that Force knows - deep down inside - that he would loose credibility in the eyes of his peers by making the decision to take the dive for Robert.

NHRA is a joke. Its probably worse that WWE because the guys who race at NHRA National Events are smart enough to know they are getting screwed and nobody is making any money racing NHRA except the suits in Glendora.

NHRA isn't doing anything good for the sport. Their attitude is like our local North Texas Tollway Authority "Gee, fewer people are using the toll roads, so we need to INCREASE the toll to pay for the road".

NHRA needs to DROP ticket prices and Sportsman Entry fees at National Events and work on securing PUBLICITY/ADVERTISING and Securing SPONSORS like a GOOD Sanctioning body would do.

I Hate multi-car teams, but they can't regulate how teams spend their money or share information. We're stuck with it. We don't need NHRA to institute unenforceable rules regarding multi-car teams. The present Test rule is bogus enough.

Tony is a hoot.I guess when he said he was laying down for John it was OK because he was getting a patcheck. If he had that much morals he would have said no and you can keep your paycheck.Lets see Force has 14 titles and Cruz won 1 in that time.Go back and look every time Force beat him with one car.He says the same thing.Fotce is cheating.Cruz and Tony should hire Whit then they can all cry together.Rocky
