stock crank
stock rods

727 Automatic
shift kit
3800 stall speed
430 gears
28 x 9 slicks

Whats should the shift point be for this combo to achieve optimal et ??

I shift mine with almost the exact specs @ 5800

I shift my street version at 6500 (xe284) and the track version sees 7-7200 but has been as high as 8200(with a BIG shot).
Both run stock block/crank/rods.

and rod bolts.

Used to shift mine at 6800, at the stripe- 6500

I have to admit I had no idea this combo could still make power over 6000 rpms with all its stock components.
