Made four hits tonite at SGMP and with some tuning finally got first 7 second doorcar pass! 7.97 @ 170.19. I got a long way to go before Rockingham but met my goal for today anyway!!

Do you mind sharing some of the details of the other times on the slip? Like the 60' and the eigth mile et? Also what does your car weigh? Just curious because that is pretty much what my goal is too but I've only been able to make a couple half track passes so far and I would like to know how it compares to a 7 second pass. Congrats on the fast pass by the way...

no this was in the TnT Firebird. My dragster has been 7.27 with this motor in it so I need to find the missing et?? All runs are all motor leaving at 4800 shifting at 7500 with big/heavy 34.5 tire/beadlock.

60' was 1.14 on all 4 passes, 1/8th mile 5.08, 5.08, 5.09, 5.10 all at high 135 one 136mph pass. 1000' was 6.64 on the 7.97 pass.

Update: took out a bunch of jet just went 5.04 in the heat w/1.131 60'!

Top Sportsman race is 1/8mile and so is tonite's gamblers.

car counts are low in all classes, S/G has the most with 32

I have a NA500inch B1-Original head motor in a 2250#w/driver 71 Demon. My best is 8.55@154 1.20/60ft. I dream of 7's but not sure 500inches can make it without nitrous. I'm at a point where I step up to a new block to get the cubes or spend $$ on my current setup

Thats fast for that combo, imo. Next step up may call for more cubes and better heads. Seems like some PSO heads on a 572 would get you in the 7s.
