If you don't have T/A heads what advantage do you feel offset rockers would give you??? Unless you intend to furnace braze the original pushrod tube closed...

Closing it up is the plan that is no problem.

All of the W-2 rockers, I've tried, have too much pivot length, leaving
the roller hanging off the far side of the valve. I haven't tried them
all, so there's a slim chance one of the manufacturers W-2s would work.

You have some options though..........long valves and machine pedistals
exactly like a W-2 head.

I think cheapstreet used an INDY rocker from some other engine.

I'd just call Harland Sharp and get their T/A rockers, myself.

There is always the custom route but, doubt you want to spend big $$$$$
since you said, "low buck".

Thanks for the input.

just using some old parts i have around for my sons ice drag car.

current class record is 7.37 seconds @ 100.22 m.p.h. on 660 feet of ice.

Held by a cleavland headed ford.

I would like that to change.

Being only @ 340 cubes and restricted to stock head castings i need to do all i can to the heads I will be the smallest motor in the class.

I have a 13.0 to one shortblock with a good crank, alluminum rods and a .630 roller, milodon oil system and gear drive all practicaly new from the 70's. allso a tunnel ram and some 2" headers
have had all these parts for some time and feel the low tourqe high winder may be an asset on the ice .

I could easily put together a big block but the weight and extra tourqe will just make me spin more .

Thats why its low buck just using up some parts to get my son racing.............

check out our website we made car craft in august our track record is 5.5 seconds @ 140!!!

Gritzmachers got a set of 810 W2 castings, paint them and put them on there. No one will know the difference up there in the sticks

I was thinking of useing the hughes rockers for the bb victor heads. they are 0.6" offset.
Dont know if it will work though.
