caltracs & monoleaf users - 08/13/09 05:22 PM

Is it a must to use a bolt trough the ears on the leafs to clamp them or is it optional?
I have no idea of what spring rate i have.
Any guidelines of how to adjust the caltracs?
Car hooks without transbrake but not with.
Shocks are Koni spa that are set on the stiffest setting.
Had them looser and when on stiffest car started bouncing a couple of times from the start.
I have about 5" of front susp travel lifts really nice.

Any help would be appriciated.

Have videos but cant post them. (45 mb)
If someone could help with the videos i guess it would be easier for you guys to help me out.

I'm not understanding what bolt your talking about. As far a setting both bars left and right level with the ground, the drivers side has no slack, the passenger side is pre loaded two flats, now with footbraking the shocks are set on 7, with the brake I set it at 4.. You may have to play around with tire pressure also.

I have never heard of anyone taking those bolts out and I doubt they are intended to be removed. I would call calvert or I would put them back in.

Please tell us if they hook better or worse without the bolts and what calvert says.

From what I understand about the split monos is that those clamps are what gives them their sping rate.. Without them I'd think that it would drop that rate way down as they new the support of the other half to have a set rate.. I'd would put them back in.. Or call calvert and see what they say.. To be it defeats the idea..
