Update on the street/strip project aka "Black Pig" - 07/25/09 05:25 PM

It's been awhile since i posted anything so here are a few pics of the completed project. It's been a long haul and waaay more work and $$ than i had originally planned.

Looks like i'll finally have my car at Norwalk this fall to make some passes. Looking forward to lining up against Randy (Lab Rat) for a little head to head action.

Ronnie, looks AWESOME! Somethin' bout a black'68'Charger! Just don't get into any car chases with green '390' 4-speed Mustangs! We know how that turned out! What's the induction set-up? Holley Street Dominator, and an AED carb? Need a couple things done to the X if I wanna come play in Norwalk! Hopefully,I'll have the car with me,but I will be there! Randy

Re: Update on the street/strip project "Black Pig" project - 07/26/09 02:23 AM

Rob....haven't driven it yet on the street....just a few stabs of the throttle at my buddy's place. It boils those 295's with ease at 1/2 throttle.

Gonna take it to the strip very soon. Plans are for myself and Kevin (Blown 68) to take our cars to the "Ville" for some shakedown runs before Norwalk. Just waiting on insurance stuff and i can start cruising.

Hi Brian, yes....this is the car that the Big Engine is being built for. All the parts are at Dwayne's shop so when he has time it can go together. Dyno numbers will be posted at a later date. It's going to be a pump gas 572 and fit under the stock hood.

Lots of stuff will need upgrading....fuel system, Cal-tracs, shocks, driveshaft, torque converter, locker for the D60 etc....They're never completely finished, are they ?

Well it looks like Rick has the fattest pig.
I'm a mear 3980 with me in it. Unless I can get on a strict McDonalds diet I will never have the crown.
