I have freind who is now running a Indy two piece bath tub intake( he took off the stock Max wedge crossram and I don't knoww the proper Indy Pt.#, sorry) intake with the inline two four top with AFB style Eddy 750 carbs, what jetting are you guys using to start with or ending up with The car is ran mostly here in central Oegon at around 2500 ft. above sea level in the summer and runs it at Wodburn(180 above sea level) one to four times a year, DA of 400 ft to 4400 ft

I ran it with box stock jetting using two Edelbrock 800 cfm carbs. That is where I'd start and then work your way acccording to EGTs and plug reading.

Thanks Andy, no EGTs on this ride. He had jetted the carbs per some suggestion on here from several years ago and I was hopping to get some information that is more current or work out further for his motor, which is a 541, 4.375 bore with a 4.5 stroke, SR heads with M.W intake ports. Not sure of the rest of the specs, sorry.

CAB, i have found with both a 500 ci motor with 13.2 compression and a 588 ci motor with 14.8 compression the jetting here at almost sealevel like .116 jetting square.
seems the carb signals are virtually the same.
i think youll want to go .113 square and start from there.
also use 6847 metering rods and orange metering spring, put accelerator pump rod in top hole as well. hope this helps.

How much ET did your 63 pickup over the factory crossram? and was the indy intake the only change?

We ran my son Kyle's 64 last evening for the first time with the Indy intake and two brand new out of the box Edelbrock Thunder series 800's, to make the car NSS legal. I think I speak for Kyle when I tell you he is more than pleased.

The car ran a best of 10.28 in the fall of the year with a single Dominator, and ran mostly 10.40's and low .50's in the heat of the summer. Last night he ran a 10.59 with the new setup, so I think when it all shakes out the performance will be comparable.

The coolness factor has increased, a bunch, though, as NSS racing is where it is at. Another big plus is that with the Eddies on it, the car runs as smooth and as nice as my wife's Cherokee. It idles, runs, and starts clean and smooth. Unbelieveable, he drives away from the pits and he could be cruising to the ice cream stand.

I was impressed.

i went from 10.45-10.48 to 10.14 and then 10.10 out of the box and mph went to 134.87 from 129.67
and the air is horrible, i still have to rejet as i was coming up a little lean still, each time i jetted up last time out it picked up mph, so im throwing more at it till it slows down.
i think 9.80's-9.90's in the fall.

I thought the 63 ran 10.20's, and how big is the motor? I'm feelin pretty good about 10.35 out of a stock stroke 440, ie 451ci and the new mp crossram intake. I can run 10.45 in 3500'DA.

We have run this intake on several cars now and found that the jetting was anyhere from 107-113 square with stock rods to work really good. We have a car with a 572in. with that intake and we run mostly 110's. I have seen the manifold pick up as much 5 no. in et over a stock intake. It will usually be from 60-100 hp more than a x ram. best the 63 ran was 10.27 with original crossram
and 10.40's in the bad heat.
put indy crossram on and picked up to 10.teens in the heat, not too bad and still jetting up.remember we are at sealevel on a good day.
