SB Dipstick alternative?

SB Dipstick alternative? - 07/07/09 11:02 PM

I broke 2 new dipsticks trying to bend them in order to clear the fuel pump (360, holley fuel pump).

I was considering the flexible distick from Milodon (22060) and I would like to have feedback on them or any other good alternative.

They specify that those are designed for center sump pump... I guess this is the standard configuration for my 360?

Any pictures?

Thanks,

I just installed a new dip stick tube in my 408 build. After I drove the tube in I used a propane torch to heat it just above the block and gently bent it to clear the fuel pump. Mine was a mile long and the dip stick hit the baffle in the Milodon pan so I cut the tube and stick to match the ones in my 340. The stick will have to have a new full mark put on it.

What brand of dipstick did you use?

It came from Mancini Racing, just the plain steel one.
