buy a CSR carbon fiber sheild, hammer the pinch weld on the firewall tunnel area flat & squeeze the trans & mounted sheild back into place. it's a tight fit but it works.
also cut those aluminum ears off trans bellhousing .If running transbrake drill hole for vent. I put prefitted braided line for and have them on trans before going up and shifter cable bracket on only. Sometimes depending on cars firewall is what type of tool to put bolts in tilt engine back its just different on each car . don
Cut off the ears, I have a CSR, Small Block with a 904 in a 68 Dart and it still fits tight I cut holes in the firewall to access the bolts it makes it a lot easier. I made removable plates to cover the holes.
