A prayer for My Brother...Update... - 06/24/09 04:12 PM
As you guys may know, My brother (39 years old) is very sick, he will under go Open heart surgery today to replace the main valve in his heart due to Vegetation of Infection build up. He will go under the knife between 1:00 and 3:00pm. At this point he has had more than one stroke, and one heart attach due to the pieces of infection breaking off and running through his body. His left side is pretty much paralyzed, and his kidney function is very poor. His liver function isnt too hot either. He has a tough road ahead of him. At any rate he probably wont be the same guy in years to come. In some ways he needed a change for the better. Its bad to say this but he is no Angel. Anyone who truly knows him, knows he is a good hearted person, that would go above and beyond to help one in need. We all can think of many things through out life we could change or handled a little different, or wished so anyways. So when you set down for lunch, please take a few seconds for prayers and thoughts for my brothers speedy recovery.
> He is moving his left arm, and moving his leg some, so there is hope, Doctors also noted he could regain kidney function also.
> I will send out emails asap when I get news of the results....
>
> Thanks

Bob, What type of books or mags does he like? If I may, I could come by tomorrow to visit. I just had my heart cath at the same hospital Monday and recieved GOOD news. No blockage and heart back in rhythm . Just let me know. It will give me a good excuse to drive the Challenger!! They have had me on no driving for 3 days. Anything else you or he needs, let me know!

He's out of surgery, the Doctor was happy with the Procedure, his heart out put is actually very high. No other blockages, just the replacement of the Aorta valve with a Pig Valve.
Now they need to keep the bleeding under control, and regulate his kidney function etc..

Here's praying for a full recovery, I've talked to a lot of folks who actually feel so much better after heart surgery that they wish they'd have done it sooner, hope he's one of them!

Bob, My wife had another surgery today for her arm, while I was at the hospital I stopped in to see your brother. We had a nice little visit. When I went into the room, one of my old high school buddies was in the room. He is Don's nurse. Don is in good hands. I will be out of town for a couple of weeks, I will check again when I get back.

I did not see your brothers name but God knows who he is. I will post this request for his healing on the Racers For Christ prayer list. Chaplains all across the USA will be praying for him.
