Is that a flip top body?

There were several Chargers built like that....most were in 67 after the Comets were so dominant with the flip top concept.

One of the more famous was Lindamood's Color Me Gone, which was very, very successful. Could it be??????

How long have you had the car? I too have an old AA/FC I am restoring. From what I have learned having the history on the car can make it or break it. I was lucky enough to buy mine from the original own and have all the history, including pictures of the chassis being fitted to the driver on the jig in Feb 1970.

Who's chassis is it? Do you have the SEMA number tag on it? That is the only thing you will probably be able to find a "production" number on. The bodies were made by many different people and unless there is an identifier on it somewhere, it will be a matter of luck finding any thing on it to be honest.

Good luck with it. If you need any help with anything let me know and see if I can assist you in anyway.

Does it say "Denny Smith" on the door. That's my mechanics name also. He deals in high end Mopars around here. I might have to ask him though I doubt it was ever his.

I'd take my time on it. I've had mine three years and I just dropped of the chassis to be blasted today. If yours is like mine, it doesn't cost you anything to keep it...just to work on it!

Does anyone have the slightest idea as to how many of these might have ever been built? I am kind of surprised that it hasnt sold before now....even without a documented history.

After seeing pictures of this car - I knew that I had seen it before in my 1968 Hemi Dart & Barracuda research - so I started digging through some old National Dragsters and low and behold! Here it is! I do have a name of the person who owned it in the early 80's. Car was in Chicago at that time.

Thanks Rick - I thought someone would want to find out who's car this was??? Guess not. Being that it was in Chicago in the 80's could it have been an original Chicago car - possibly Mr Norm's Charger???? I don't know.
