MOPAR HEMI Challenge at Bowling Green as been cancelled

Hello Everyone...I just got off the phone with Tony Thacker, Executive Director of the NHRA Wally Parks Museum in California. I was calling to inquire about registration for the June 19, 20, 21 MOPAR Challenge at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green. Please pass along to all SS/AH teams.

...Tony Thacker went on to state that "as of last Thursday a decision was made to cancel the MOPAR HEMI Challenge due to Chrysler's financial situation, thus an ageement could not be signed."

I just got off the phone with Ray Barton and he was kind enough to reach out to Chrysler (MOPAR) to see if the HEMI Challenge events at the 2009 U.S. Nationals at INDY as well as the SportsNationals at Columbus is still on being sponsored by MOPAR. Ray Barton has confirmed that YES MOPAR IS STILL PLANNING TO SPONSOR BOTH THE HEMI Challenge events at the 2009 U.S. Nationals at INDY as well as the SportsNationals at Columbus.
