Almost sub 6 and a .0000 Light at Kil Kare today - 05/26/09 01:59 AM

Dad and I really enjoyed the track at Kil Kare, not a horrible drive and very friendly Mopar loving crowd there. We unloaded and got to make one time run today. I went .001 and 6.033 @112, this is by far the quickest my car has been in the 1/8th since the switch from low gear trans. Won first rnd with .006 light, second rnd I went .0000 on tree and 6.0759 on 6.07 dial , got me pulled for bye in rnd three, but luck ran out there. My .018 light 6.09 on 6.06 to his .013 light and 5.05 on 5.03 dial. Lots of hitters there today, Underwood, Richardsons, but was trying to hang tough. Dad unloaded and went 5.49, unfortunately he lost a first rnd heartbreaker running 5.51 on 49 and letting dragster drive round him at the stripe.

what was the gear change ?

Went from 2.76 low gear to 2.45, trying to tame the launch a bit. It has killed my 60' time by about .02

Congrats, sounds like there were lots of tough racers out there. Do all the tracks over that way record 4 digits after the decimal?

The new track manager is a very very good racer himself so he knows how to run a race track the right way. So far it's been like night and day compared to the way the place was run in the past. If you haven't been for awhile you might want to try it out again. The track prep has never been better.
