VP of Brooklyn Dodges win at mopar VS world, E-town - 05/20/09 06:36 PM

At the E-town Mopar Atlantic Nationals this past week end, my friend Curtis Taylor Jr. won Mopar VS the world on Friday night and was in the finals on Saturday with one eye open and one closed because of exhaustion. He was piloting his Father's street beater, a 72' Duster with nothing more than a warmed over 340. 12 0hs all day long and driving it 60 miles from right here in Brooklyn, NY.

I was not abler to be present because of work related issues, but cheer him religiously
Please give it up for my man.

Scared?
scared of what?
I'm scared not to make any money in this thin air economy as a self employed cat. When duty calls, I answer with all guns blazing like the USS New Jersey.
The life of an artist will never be televised, because the people of the globe now know what it is to be self employed.

Some one who doesn't understand that logic needs to go back to their street corner with the squeegee in hand, and then maybe they may make a coin or two.LOL.

Seriously, don't fool your self that it is safe out in deep water. All other Mothers will see "Nemesis" this Summer. I may not win every battle, but the war will not be a turkey shoot to those who do not heed.

Love ya' any way Pa. LOL.

What up RV.
Yeah, some people will beat on you when you are down. I'll settle for my silence till I'm walking tall, and then we'll roll from there.
I'm planning to take this Summer off to do just that, enjoy the races from both sides of the fence.
I've always run win or loose. I love the sport enough to shake your hand in either case.

But in all true sense, I think my man as well as others in my own gang are just as anxious to see me roll to the line as much as I am. My car has been an enigma ever since its street days, but all it is a simple multiplication of old school tactics and antics. Nothing special and I just keep things to myself.

I've been to so many events in the past where I've arrived sans the car, but I have only one choice in a small time frame to make it right or at least to the best of my ability, because if things go south I can not recoup as fast in a season. My time is very limited to say the least. Even Curtis has not been able to re-coup from his crash on the highway a couple of years back, and He's even been working on it every other week end. Then again, he has nothing short of a small arsenal of Mopes to choose from on any given week end. he's an ace in true sense with guns at every angle.

Things and life get in my way some times and I don't live with my cars underneath my feet like some of us are fortunate to have. If I didn't have to drive 45 miles to it and back, I would sneak down to turn a wrench at any given chance. I wish I could be in grease and garage thrashing with the best of them also, but my controversial career comes first because it demands more wrenching than a Funny car effort and it ultimately feeds my Family, myself and my ride.
Keep an ear out and a canny eye open this season, I'll be there.
