anybody got a creative idea for a fuel cell holder? it's a 22 gal. rectangle -- too big to be suspended, so i gotta find some sort of cradle. i was thinking some sort of industrial (steel) bin -- something you might find behind a business.

Is the cell plastic or steel?

We basically tigged up a box with a bolt on lid and a flange for mounting all around the perimeter. Works excellent.

With a steel tank you can easily make a recessed bracket out of angle iron and metal strap. On an old car of mine I cut a hole the size of the tank on the trunk floor. I used angle iron on all 4 edges. Then I test fitted the tank in the hole and put it at the depth I wanted and marked the tank. I used two straps bolted to the angle iron to hold it up, and two to hold it down. I think mine was a 16 gallon, but the factory uses just two straps on stock tanks.

You could also just have someone weld some brackets to the tank.
