TRW or Keith Black - 04/30/09 12:15 AM

Hello guys,

buying a forged domed piston for my 318. It will run on a 250 nitrous shot.

Which one would you buy if you were me...

Keith Black KB845 - http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=UEM%2DKB845%2D030&autoview=sku
TRW WL2329F30 - http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=TRW%2DWL2329F30&autoview=sku

Main differences arethe ring size. KB is 1/16 and TRW is 5/64.

Both will give me almost 12:1 CR.

No much infot for the TRW.

The TRW is a flat top with four valve reliefs, not a dome high compression piston according to the information on Summits site you attached to I thank it is a stock replacement forged Speed Pro piston wit a compression ratio of around 8.5 to 1, maybe not The KB is a domed psiton so it should have the higher compression your looking for

the KB's are probably significantly lighter, too.

Look at the compression height of both... there is
a difference.... but I agree that more than likely
the KB is going to be lighter.... TRW have always been
a heavy piston
