Indeed. In my experience, even their private label stuff is of reasonable quality and/or USA made.

Sadly, there are a percentage of people who either don't care about buying fake cheap crap or they're too dumb to know there is a difference. I know a few. Usually want you to work for free or have no idea what a person's time is worth either.

While I won't use it, I can't fault a guy for using import parts so he can race. My issue is the fake stuff. There is not much made in the US that someone in China hasn't copied - at least appearance wise. Fuel pumps, water pumps, ignitions, engine parts, wheels, shifters, carbs, et.al.

Companies that have invested in time and effort to create, design and bring this stuff to market, then have to compete with crap that looks just like their stuff.

Then a couple of things can or do happen. They try to cheapen their own stuff up to compete with the price of offshore stuff and quality suffers. After doing that for awhile they just give up and sell out to an equity firm or a conglomerate run by bean counters. And at some point, the only thing left is the cheap crap. Or pi$$ poor copies of what used to be the good stuff made overseas and sold by the actual company that created it in the first place..

There are plenty of US companies who have not succumbed to that yet. I always try to patronize them.

Awesome, well done Summit, now if NHRA would dump Speedmaster also.
