I hearby concede to JericoGTX….

I hearby concede to JericoGTX…. - 12/12/23 02:21 AM

Although I tried as hard as I could I could not out number Jeff this weekend. It was a valiant (actually Valiant Duster) effort, but I fell short. I was hoping the SLO-est N/A W8 on the planet would at least run harder than a stick equipped B body with a tractor motor but it was not to be. It was bad enough watching Doug and his show car hit 8’s before me, but then you lay that number down…. I give up… I’m flying the white flag. Nothing but a lowly small block deserving of life in some 5th Avenue hauling g-Ma to bingo. laugh2

You can't give up now. You've got enough.

Oh how I'd love to have that 60" Jay.

It's all in fun. Hopefully when you head North, we can line up, have a fun race, and then celebrate the night away with some Grain Belt Nordeast. We might harass each other, but for sure on my end, I have nothing but respect for you, and how your car runs.

It’s funny looking back…. I’d never in a million years thought I’d have a bottom 9 sec car. Of course at this stage of the game I kinda wish it was the complete bone stock /6 car it was born as. It is fun to wheel though smile

While it is admirable to give the respect where it's due, as has been said by a few you have enough to get there already given the incrementals. I wouldn't concede yet. Was it over when the Germans bombed Peal Harbor?!

Normally I'd say yes, BUT Doug and I both go 120mph in the 1/8. Our time slips are almost identical, and we are covering the back half faster than Jay, where he has us on the front 330'.

That is true….. most of my 1/4 speeds are 146. Think the best is 147.8.

Mine is 563ci. 4.375 stroke, and 4.524 bore. Doug's is slightly bigger than mine, with a 4.500 stroke, and I think 4.530 bore, but could be wrong. Yes, both quite a bit bigger than Jay's, but neither of us is spinning the motor as high as Jay either.

I wouldn't say that. Mine is 200lbs less, and runs slower.

It would give you a place to carry those clutch adjusting tools you won't need anymore

I only adjusted the clutch ONCE this year...

How many bags of floor dry did you use for a leaking front pump this year???

Just to clarify, I wasn't throwing stones about being more ci than Jay. For some reason I thought both of you were around 500 inches.

Thanks! beer
