Looked to me like the '65 (1st video) hosed the RR tire with something.
That's a bad day, though it could be worse; hope that wasn't an aluminum nose.

Dace Shultz owns the 65. The best part is that Dave is OK. The car is steel. There were no aluminum 65 cars. 63/64 only. It either spit the oil filter gasket or the oil filter adapter gasket. The 63 is owned and driven by Joe Ewing

I was sitting in the water behind Dave in the silver car. He left, the car walked a little left on the wheelie and then the smoke started. He tried to catch it., It hit pretty hard on the right front corner, bounced back, was on two wheels and then sat down.
Hard to say what caused what. He said the oil filter gasket (baldwin filter) was pushed out.
