Arrows pointing to the mystery. I asked the track owner, he said the other lane didn’t want cross talk, indicated by an N on his car. There wasn’t an N, and his dial didn’t show with a minus sign. None of my racer friends have seen it, and between us, we have thousands of passes.

Update: On the Portatree web site, I did see that it’s their crosstalk designation. I’m guessing if my opponent had lost, it would have been a rerun.
