Use the upper hole.....the further up the better.

Why the upper hole Steve?

On the hangers I make (Mancini, Firm Feel, Moparts P&S, Eberg, etc sell my stuff) the lower hole is the stock ride height. The upper hole lowers the car as well as changing the geometry a bit.

I've had some racers order custom hangers from me that dropped the front eye point. They wanted to lower the eye bolt for a softer hit. So some people want to go with the upper hole and some use the lower hole and some folks want an even lower eye bolt hole.

Lowering the front of the spring (further up into the body) will lower the car, and should increase the rise of the springs. Doing that, and then raising the rear of the car should increase the dynamic rise even further.

It is something you have to play with, but most guys I know still running SS springs use the upper hole, and some even stick even another hole further up. Over the years, we've got it to the point that we don't even mess with the lower hole anymore.

You want about three inches of rise with an automatic trans car. That seems to work best for most.

However, like anything else, it is just the playing around until you get it where the car likes.

How does that change your pinion angle if any using the top hole as compared to the bottom hole?

Yes, it change the pinion angle a little bit when you move the eye bolt position. You just have to check it and if it isn't in spec then adjust it with some tapered spacers or some other method.

I just put a set under the 65 and used Andys hangers.I still have to drill them as the set the holes back probally 3/4 inch too far for the 65.Not as much as the MP hangers did though.Rocky

Sounds like you got the wrong part number. There is a Dodge version and a Ply version. AR015 fits the '65 Dodge B body car, AR097 fits the '65 Ply body.
