Doesn't the heat wrap lead to rust on mild steel pipes? I'm a fan of header coating now for running cooler under the hood and not burning myself when working on the motor at the races

Cab, I only had to patch a couple holes in the headers I have run since 1997. Actually cracks where welding was thin. But I wanted to upgrade to a header matched to the new combo. The long life might be because I run alky with fuel lube. Exhaust ports are coated with the lube and carbon buildup.

Thanks for sharing that, my next race car will be run on E85 with a centrifugal supercharger it will need custom made headers also,551 C.I. RB with B1-MC heads in a 1965 Dart
