What are you guys using for your windshield? Called the local plastic supplier for pricing and they want $115 per sheet of plain Lexan and $355 for mar resistant coated. Do you guys have issues with the un-coated polycarbonate?

Mine is the plain stuff that is 10 years old. A few scratches but overall still looks very good.

Not sure what size you are looking for. I bought 2 Allstar performance 36"x72" Lexan scratch resistant sheets - part #ALL22220 and it did the whole car. It is .120 thick. The shipping price is where you have to watch. The least expensive way is when the sheets are shipped rolled up. Sounds crazy but it doesn't affect it at all, but you better be ready when you cut the bindings. It comes in a tall cardboard container. Lays perfectly flat when rolled out, no distortion at all. Very easy to work with. Many vendors, 21 Motorsports offers it for $203.81 per sheet delivered! I can't remember but I think it is drop shipped from the manufacturer. Great product, great price, very satisfied. Hope this helps. Bill

Allstar from Summit Iprefer mar guard stuff personally. Like ecerything else it has gone way up in price. I bought a whole sheet and a half sheet of tinted stuff from Optic Armor. Both through Summit a month or so ago. Shipping is much less that way.

The Lexan that I mentioned from Allstar is the Margard version, and with shipping 21motorsports is cheaper than Summit. Bill

Kind of depends on your budget. Is this a $100,000 car? A few hun is worth it. If that money could better used for better shocks or lightweight parts, maybe not.

The regular stuff requires you to be careful with it, Expect to polish it occasionally to keep it looking decent. Use the right products to clean it.

After 8 cars with Lexan, the last 2 I used the china glass. Lighter than factory glass and no more bulleyes when the sun hits the windshield. I just made sure to remove the weight difference btwn plastic and glass was taken elsewhere.
