Parking Brake suggestions

Last year I did not order a parking brake kit for my New Strange Dana with rear disks, slight over site seeing it's a 4spd. What would you folks recommend now, has anyone installed the smaller caliper set-up and adapted to the original Emergency brake pedal,I'm thinking of calling Strange and inquiring on another bracket that will mount a additional lever type caliper to one side or should I look into a pinion/ rotor type seen on a lot of street rods. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Emailed Strange, no luck. They replied that they do not offer a parking brake for Race type rotors. There must be a easy way to bolt on another caliper assy, or does everyone just carry around a 2x4. Any suggestions folks. Thanks.

Go to a place that fixes heavy trucks and get a Lever Lock. It's like a one way valve for the rear calipers. Throw the lever, step on the brake and it's set. Flip the lever back and it releases. No cable to deal with, it works with the hydraulic lines.

Thanks Bigcube, I thought about a set up like that, but then got thinking it might be better to have a separate mechanical brake, in the event of a hydraulic system failure...whats the chance of that ever happening, maybe I'm putting to much thought into this, just looking for a good parking brake to let the car run while up on a incline, or in the pits with my kids walking around the car.

Here's my thoughts. Do you let the brake lines of your race car get rusty? Do you inspect the chassis on a regular basis? If no to the first question and yes to the second, the chance of a blown line are very slim

that Hydraulic setup is the nuts..however...I have the Wilwood setup...havent installed it yet for my 63 Dodge...

it uses a mechanical levered brake pad setup...its small and very lite...Im sure they may have a bracket for what you are using or one can be made...chances are the bracket that comes with it may fit..
