What camera are you guys using for starting line videos? Seems like on most of the " budget " cameras the screen goes black after a fairly short length of time. It's hard to get good video when you can't see what you're filming. So, what are you using ?
I bought a Sony handicam years ago and still love it.

Any generation that has the slo-mo option is good. They have had that feature for awhile.

Almost all modern phones can do a good job.
This video was recorded on a Samsung S7, which was bought in 2016.

Old Panasonic Lumix, an old iphone, GoPro...30FPS is ok. 60 is better.
Trying to see anything on a cellphone screen is useless. The trick is to get in onto a screen where you can see what is happening. Like 30" diagonal. And be able to play it back frame by frame.
A 3/4 view including the tree and the front suspension has been most useful for me. Count the frames from the one where the rear first moves to the one where the bottom bulb goes out, and compare run to run.
