New PB - 06/30/21 06:20 PM

Well we got a new PB at the weekend in Altitude smile Luckily I'd already scared myself and lifted prior to it bending the wheelie bar mounts, unloading the right rear and turning me towards the wall, so only the usual damage blush

Curious what kind of damage occurs when something like this happens?

Riding high seldom wins. But if you cant win you might as well be spectacular.

Not at that meeting. We normally run 4" dynomax bullets, they calm the noise down but don't appear to have any effect on ET / MPH

We ran a 9.57 straight off the trailer with a wheelie carrying them 150ft out (or so) which boded well, but it caught us out on the 2nd pass. No timeslip PB's, Altitude only. grin

Bent wheelie bars, crushed sump, dented and tweaked headers and some dubious suspension geometry.
In the past we've pushed the sump and windage tray into the crank which necessitated an engine rebuild after metal from the tray got onto the bores.
It could of been worse if I hadn't lifted and stopped it turning into the wall. We got lucky, instinct took over.
