New engine pic - 04/20/21 06:53 PM

Got new motor in car over the weekend
418, eddies, flat tappet, excellerator, 850, same 1 5/8 Dougs headers
Went with a black/ red look... if it isn't gonna be fast..

Has a 260/264 565/565flat tappet, mildly ported eddies( go 272@550), 12.4 compression... 340 40 over, billet 2 bolt caps, no fill, 850, weiand excellerator, small 1 5/8 tube headers with muffs

3310 with me in it...
Hoping it will go 10.70’s in good air.... nothing heavy duty. Want the 8.75 to live off the foot brake... and my days of licenses, double layer jackets, etc, etc are over

I am 1/2 hour from 131. Its been open all month.. but just two good days where they could run test and tune thus far
Weather isnt looking good this upcoming weekend. Hoping to test week from Fri night, then race in the opener that Saturday( May 1st) weather permitting.

Looks great! I like how you put your starter buttons on each side. I put one on a plate that covers the original heater core holes. I am 6'3 so reaching over there from the drivers side was no big deal until I put a tunnel ram on lol. And I just completed a rewire of lots of stuff and forgot to add another one

Had a dickens of a time finding them. Guy on another site had a new set i got from him. They haven't made them in a few years.
Yesterday, was looking on E Bay, guy has a new set also. Wants 375 for them. Thats crazy. If they were reasonable i would buy them to have a backup set, but 375 is looney.

That silver and black is beautiful. Like the red on the engine to break it up some.
