Indy 2-plane intakes - 02/27/21 07:55 PM

So there are two 2-plane RB intakes, a standard port and a MW port ?

Must be completely different castings.

And, nobody at all makes a low deck, 2-plane MW intake ?
Only the Indy single plane 400-2 ?

There is only one casting...... fits RB only.

It has MW sized runners that are reduced down to std port size at the flange.

For a low deck there is the 400-2/-3 or the Mod Man, or the TR

That is right as you did that to mine of opening the flange Dwayne and you did a great job. I run that intake on my street car that gets raced now and then and I do like the intake. Ron

383man,
I'm kind of curious if you ever tried a Performer RPM 440. Not a lot of good 2-planes
and I've never had an Indy in my hands to look at.

Ron and I have similar builds but my EZ's still have the stock size port window. Ron's heads are opened up to MW ports. I have been running the Performer RPM and I have been 10.91 @ 124 MPH with mine. I think the big ports and that Indy intake make his car faster than mine. I have a Victor and a new annular 1050 that I'm gonna throw on this summer and try to get to the track and see what it does.

I feel the Indy dual plane is a very good dual plane. I have it in the standard port form (just port matched to stealth heads). It’s on a pump gas 505 RB and made good power on the dyno and ran pretty good at the track. I just lowered the plenum center divider and radiused the upper transition. It made 600+ hp on dyno and ran 11.55 at 4200+ lbs. i’m very happy with it’s performance.
