how many of you actually use safety wire (ON THE BOLTS) on after market disc brakes?

I used it on the bolts that hold the rotor to the hub but no where else.

no way to use it on the Aerospace brakes I have so no I didnt use it

Did not use wire. Used loctite on key bolts.
Car is drag race only. Check them twice a season
6 years later still no losey. Wilwood fronts

all my bolts was drill but did't use it..loc-tight them..if I was driving it on the street or road racing..I would of..drag race only..if I had the tool and wire here I might have ?

Mine are , had a friend that one of them backed out it had loctite on it too

Lucky for him , he was going down return road when the wheel locked up

I had one caliper mounting bolt come out, was red loctited too. Now I know why they're drilled.

ALL my rear calipers are wired, its done for a reason when 1 starts loosening, they all start and then problems happen. Tony wire them up.
just get the correct wiring tool pliers, it makes things go smoothly and neat.

harbor freight safety wire pliers 6" $6.99 9" $9.99 and safety wire is $3.99 at a hardware store.

I have never had a wilwood come loose with loctite and I have done many sets. but I may get the pliers and safety wire and do them later, it's one of them things there is always a first time.

We have had two rotors come loose,we will be using wire from now on.

Just a tip on wiring stuff (I know most of you guys know)the wire should be ran from the side that tightens the bolt if you pull on the wire. So if you have 2 bolts one over the other and they're both right hand thread have the wire exit the right side of the top bolt, and enter the left side of the lower bolt. That way any tension on the wire tightens both bolts.

I always hated safety wire 'till I got a decent tool and spent some time with it. Now I safety wire everything I can. Only takes one bad experience....
