Any roots gasoline guys here?

Any roots gasoline guys here? - 04/18/20 08:42 PM

My data logger is showing me IAT's of 165* or more where my power just goes flat. I want to intercool with nitrous and a plate will not work because the throttle blade hits the crossbar at 1/3 to open.I want to install a pair of fogger nozzles in the 1 inch spacer plates.
Has anyone used juice to intercool??

Me thinks you are tempting faith, why not use a water /meth injection or straight methanol injection set up instead twocents work

I went this way,the Nitrous tech has come a long way! Can tune each nozzle from 50 hp which is I want to start with up to 175HP each. This will lower the IAT bt over 100*!!!!! W/M can't do that whistling

Thanks Jim/ I watched till the end,BUT,,,,,That's for a turbo,is 10 lbs of turbo boost the the same or equal to 10 Lbs of roots boost. Will that data be the same as the nitrous will cool the blower case but not the actual turbo temp . work

10 lbs on either set up is 10lbs but the temp wont be.. you have a much bigger heat sink

Call Induction Solutions and ask for Steve Johnson to call you back. IM sure they have done this, customer service from this guy is unreal, he will help you every step of the way, all the way to track tuning.

A spacer below your carbs would put you on the road

Turbo vs. roots not the same.
Many (conservative) turbo applications have backpressure = boost × 2. This means the chamber is not fully purged each cycle - yours is. With the same manifold pressure a roots has higher combustible charge mass (less exhaust products).

haha His animated delivery is very hard to take. The guy churns out a lot of content and mostly devoted to power adder stuff, but it's hard to watch.

Your right Tony,he gave me a thumbs up and said it will work .
I have to decide placement of the nozzle in the spacer plate, not sure if it's not spraying right into the middle if it will effect distribution after going through the blower rotors. Also the carb adapter is necked down.I would think it could flow better with flat sides like the carb spacer.

I spoke to Pat at Pro Systems,he did not like the idea of 2.5 spacer plates. He suggested perimeter plates at $750 a pair. These fogger nozzles are $70 each, more suited to my no budget improvements. violin
