I have one Rupert and an SV1 pro systems. Both work well. APD is also very good. I've heard good things about Gary Williams

The best ones I've ever seen have been rupert. That goes for NA, and blown. That old guy has a good handle on them working OTB.

We bolted on a 4150 Quickfuel 950 to replace the Rupert 4500 1050 we had been running. We were actually trying to slow the car down a little because we were creeping up on the limits of our chassis cert.

The car ran the exact same ET and MPH with the 950 as it did with the 1050. The Quickfuel was spot on out of the box and only needed idle mixture and speed adjustments. I am happy with the Quickfuel carb

I'm sure all the above mentioned companies do great work too. I like dealing with him because he has been at it a long time, and personally cares about what he sells you.

Where you able to jet the bigger carb rich enough to slow the MPH down in the 1/4 mile? If so did you do the same tuning on the smaller carb?
Which motor and heads was this on?
I'm thinking of switching from E85 to straight Methanol also work

We had 190 square in the big carb. Have not played with jets on the small carb yet.

The engine is a 540" Indy low deck with 345cc 440-1 heads

Sorry, I’ve never used an alcohol carb.
But!
Thanks for that link! I started bracket racing in 1978, and the guys in that article were known to me in Minneapolis. I bet not many know what a device marketed by Ron Folk, known as “The Throttle Wacker”, is. Rupert was certainly in hitter company.

I have an SV1 also, and it works great and Patrick was accessible and always knew what to do. Have 2 of his gasoline ones also. I had a 1050 alcohol carb done by a fellow in Wisconsin, but it was a POS.
