The motor runs, even made it to the winners circle - 06/16/19 04:10 AM
As much as I wanted to run the Dragway 42 event our GLSSA points event was closer. As I had an untested reassembled motor (got it running last night). So I stayed closer to home. First race of our points series. My first race of the year. Got it done. 6 rds and $2K richer. Can ran great. Race #2 tomorrow. Doug

$2000 is a nice prize. That covers a bunch of costs.

Great! Isn't it satisfying, to only hear two motors running at the end of the day, and one of them is yours!

Not as good today. I had the tree .029-.061 but didn't trust the weather stations 9.09 prediction. Didn't lift either. He was dead on .006 and I took to much stripe, .053, 9.095 on a 9.11
Next time.

Congrats Doug and can't blame you for staying close and racing for a better purse! So it looks like they do not run on an index? Kind of strange if so.

They run Stockers, S/S, and N/SS. All on dial in. Stockers on 9" foot brake, S/S on 14-32 w trans brakes, N/SS on 10.5 with foot brake. No weight enforcement or heads up runs if 2 cars are in the same class. Actually works out real well. Great group. We had 45 cars this weekend. Races still to come. July 20 Us 131 Dragway Martin Mi, Sept. 15 Milan Dragway, Milan Mi.

Awesome Doug! Helluva turnaround from a leaky motor to a win the day after getting it fixed!

(BTW I think I've been to your place once several years ago, dropping off one of David H's cars to get the transmission serviced)

That must have been it Doug, and maybe it wasn't the trans....If my memory hasn't totally failed me, he had picked it up recently
at that time and sent it your way for technical help. It was real quick, don't think it was even a 10 minute visit.
