RPM activated retard w/MSD6al - 06/01/19 11:13 PM
I'm trying to get the components to hook up a rpm activated switch to retard my timing on a naturally aspirated 340.I talked to MSD and they suggested a 8987 which I don't see any rpm activation. I think what I need is a 8950 switch with a 8676 retard but I'm not sure if they are compatible. May need to talk with them some more. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

The 8970 is a good unit both for start retard as well as retarding for Nitrous.

Not sure what the"upgrades" will cost, but the MSD 6al-2 is laptop programmable. You make your own curve with ability to change timing every 100 rpm.
