I want to thank all the members on here that have given me advise and instruction on how things need to be. I ask a lot of questions. Sometimes 2 or 3 times. Andy F, Al, DVW and his son, Cab, 540Dust, and the list goes on and on. For everyone who has helped me in this 2 year ordeal A big thank you and here is to a great summer.

What issues did you find, and what did you replace?

Maybe a little refresher on the the project........

I had a 472 that had compression issues. I bought a low deck Indy block off a guy on here. I had Ohio Crankshaft put sleeves in the block, I also used their 4.25 stroke crank, their rods, with Diamond pistons. They balanced it. I bought a set of Trick Flow 270s and set them up myself. I assembled it. The only part I used over was the Comp .665 roller cam and lifters. Video was first fire. Only problem I had was my battery sat for 2 years. I tried charging it for 2 days but it cranks slow. I also only had 5 psi of fuel pressure and need to bump it up.Its a mild 540 street car that will see some track time at the mopar events. Sounds like a nice build.

Did you ever nail down what was wrong with the other motor?

Seems like there was a video of the car at the track, and it was leaving really soft.
Was that the motor this one is replacing?

I never figured out what the issue was. I paid and had a valve job done on the heads and put them back on the old engine and still no compression. I was totally baffled. This engine replaces that one. Birdtracker
