I bought it from Meijer's by the 55 gal drum (pump)

In my new E85 engine configuration I'm running 11.5 with a blower. I will be using pump stuff. I have to buy a bunch at a time because the nearest pump is 86 miles. Don't have any results yet but I'm hopeful.

I buy it buy the drum(e-98) and mix to e-85,compression is 13.1.

My bracket 400 stroker 505 C.I. motor is right at 15.0 to 1, I use the local pump E85 and check it for the actual percentages, they vary from 85 % all the way up to 89 percent after sitting in the plastic fuel jugs in the race car trailer shruggy
I'm getting ready to go dyno test and break in the new bracket motor this week and I'll use the fuel in the jugs left over from last year, I'll check it and maybe I'll jet it up to see if I can get it rich enough to loose power luck
The first time I dyno a motor I bought E85 from the same station in early fall six years ago, they had ordered winter fuel that ended up testing to be 75% shock
All the fuel I've bought from them since then has tested to be 85% up
I have found that my bracket motor does NOT like cold spark plugs shock shruggy

been using it for many years now in our 3 bracket cars...buy it from the same station a couple miles from home. Always tests at 85% and there is no winter blend in las vegas.

The max compression based on when will it knock?
This isn't always the goal, some engines with large diameter chamber (hemi) will need a huge dome to get a really big static CR, and max power won't pick up beyond a certain point depending on bore, stroke, rod ratio. The dome obstructs flame travel and flow through during overlap.

Another question is it as corrosive as alcohol?

Not as corrosive as straight Methanol due to some of the additives in it but it will corrode uncoated aluminum if you let it sit very long whiney shruggy

VP C85 is a great fuel. 2 of my cars run on it, one roots blown, the other nitrous.

I leave it in the fuel system even over the winter with no issues. C85 has some good corrosion inhibitors, and makes more power than any canned 85 I've tried. Doesn't sweat up the motor like pump either. There is a yellowish, oily residue left in the manifold, and runners. I'm guessing it's the inhibitor, but whatever it is, there is no rust anywhere in the bores. Running meth, or pump E85 I'd always see rust at the top of the bores where the rings don't reach. The tuning window is wider than gas.
