Machine Shop in Stockton/Lodi CA area - 03/23/19 05:08 PM

I'm new to California and am glad to see that the car scene here is flourishing. There are a lot of machin shops and performance shops but I dont have nay exprirence with any of them here. Does anyone have anyone reconmend a good performance machine shop? I'll be looking to complete some head work in the next month or two...

FAST Man EFI in Sonora probably knows a few local engine builders. John Beck in Chico is a highly recommended engine builder with an excellent dyno setup. I'm sure there are a ton of engine builders within a 50 mile radius of where you are.

Dave Rettig has retired and the shop was closed last year. Talk to Steve Wann at Panella Engines for 'Freelance' work. Panella engines are great but are expensive same as Joey Gross in Lodi. What are You wanting done again? Are You the one with the hemi? Look up the old thread for the guy who now specialized in EFI configurations but wrote a book on hemi's.

Valley Balancing in Ceres does good work.

Steve is on the desk, with lots of experience and a smart guy.

8pack (Stoney) just had his hemi repaired by a machine shop in that area. They are waiting on new pistons, but so far he seems very satisfied with their customer service. I suppose the dyno will affect his overall opinion
