Pretty cool and impressive. Man, the first impression I had, was of the crank whipping around like a garden hose laying out in the sun!

Might stout incline there.

That power level may very well have busted the block if it were an NA build. IIRC even 400 is dangerous.
One nice thing about primitive engines: with boost VE is far less important that modern stuff. As long as you can keep a gasket on it (and the crank in the block), 10 more psi makes up for any lack of port CFM. The ancient Studebaker V8 has produced some amazing results.

I have thought about it. I would rather go Procharger though.

Will knocked a piston out at 1000 feet on that run or he would have run an 8.XX. He told me it spun the tires and hit the rev limiter in 2nd gear which he believes got the piston. He's been busy crewing on the Vixen car lately, but is waiting for his motor to come back from machine shop prison. Will is a good dude for sure. boogie

Believe it or not, we have very little crank or block trouble at any level. The crank in my junk is one of the later "lightweight" cast iron cranks and I have been spinning it 7000 with stock rods. I have a shortblock with the same crank and aluminum rods. hammer
