Roller Lifter Question

Roller Lifter Question - 01/17/19 10:34 PM

Would anyone on here know how close (or how far off) the pushrod seat location height would be on a Crane Ultra Pro 95550 vs say a Comp 829 lifter? I know that seat height on the Comp is 1.79, and down in the body. The Cranes look similar in the pic, and allow pushrod oiling.

I called Crane, and although the tech line was pleasant they could not provide me with any real measurements or specs.

I found an old post on here that said they make the top link bar to accommodate 1.80 to 2.00 lifter bore spacing on either part Crane 95550 or 65550.

If there is a Crane Vendor on here, I'm happy to give them a call and the business!

When I build a mopar engine, it always gets custom length push rods. As you are finding out you never know what length you need until you have the parts assembled. So most of the time I don't even ask the tech guys I just buy and measure to make sure it will work.

There is a wealth of good information on this topic and related components on B3 Racing's website. The owner, Mike is a great guy to do business with, and is happy to help you get the optimal parts. His geometry correction kits are very reasonably priced too.

Absolutely.

Some of the dimensions I've seen published for roller lifter pushrod seat heights haven't been accurate... certainly nothing I'd trust trying to pre-order pushrods before being able to measure what's actually required.
