Anyone deal with M&R Products lately?? 5 point harness. - 01/08/19 10:38 PM

I haven't been able to get ahold of them since Dec. 11th, 2018. https://mrproducts.com/ I called Dec. 11th 2018, and ordered a new 5 point harness, like I do every 2 years (Thanks NHRA). I called their 800 number, they answered quickly. Placed my order for a new 5 point harness, and some new straps to secure racecar in the trailer. They took my order, said that they would call back the next day for credit card info.
Next day, nobody called me. So I have been calling them every day, Monday thru Friday. No ansewer on their 800 number. I leave it ring 30 times, before I hang up. I sent them an email thru their website on Dec. 14th.2018.

On Dec. 19th 2018, I got a phone call and voice message from them, but I was out side looking at a customers car. I have tried calling them on their 800 number, and the phone # left in their voice message, every day since, except weekends. I leave a voice message on the one phone #, and nobody ever ansewers the 800 phone #.

Does anyone know if they are still in business?? M&R Products are located in New Jersey, but their corporate phone # is in California.

I have had great dealings with the company since 2003. Bought a new harness every 2 years. Bought my original straps for the trailer back in 2003. Always called them once and order was sent , very quickly. This is the 1st time that I have been having any trouble getting ahold of them.

I don't need my new belts until beginning of march. So I will give them a few more weeks. I was just hoping that someone living in New Jersey, lived close to M&R Products.

I have used Stroud Safety for years and had very good luck, plus they will recertify their belts when they expire.

I dealt with them and was actually a dealer when the Browns still owned it. They made nice stuff, custom window nets, different configurations of restraints unique tie down items, with personalized service. After it was sold - to Stroud I think - everything changed around. I have no idea who owns it now or if it's still open.

I believe former employees are now at http://jerseygirltiedowns.com/ making many of the same products that were made by M&R with the same level of service.

Jersey Girl Tie Downs, sounds like a reality TV show, or something more adult than that.... whistling

Talked to Jersey Girl, they are shutting down. M&R never got back to me, I left at least 18 messages on their phone, and 1 email. So I ordered and received RJS 5 point harness.

Too bad. They made good stuff and some unique items for towing and transport, both companies.

Been using RJS camlocks for many years, and I send 'em in for re-webbing & re-cert when due; I have 2 sets in rotation, 1 in car & other in a box.
The lower re-do cost lessens the pain of compliance.
